People Can't Change Overnight

I stayed up late,
Tried to fix my mistake,
But it was too far complicated,

The next day I tried to change myself,
But it was just too late,
Well people change,
But somehow I just stay the same.

I tried staying awake,
I failed and ended up on my bed,
The next day I woke up,
Knowing that I was just too late,

I won't know when the world is going to end,
But knowing that there is someone waiting...
Waiting for the question,
While they hold the answer,

She's a mystery (She'll soon be history)
She can be hot as fire,
Or even cold as ice,
But I'm guessing she's just too much for me,

I've seen the best,
But you seemed better,
I've made my guess,
And your my answer,

I took the test,
To test my patience,
Pretended to rest,
But I seemed so hopeless,

Have you ever felt really depressed,
It's like taking a bullet,
I know you deserved the best,
I could have done better,

I have beaten the rest,
But I ain't getting closer,
It feels so such a waste,
What's the point in being stronger ?

I've reached my limit,
I can't go any further,
And if i do i may lose you,
So I'm staying here just to be with you,

For now,
But not forever....
